Marjorie Kempton

Marjorie Goss Kempton Age 95 of Matthews NC, passed away on January 29, 2020 at White Oak of Waxhaw, NC surrounded by her loving family. Marjorie was born in Houtzdale, PA on June 30, 1924 to parent’s John Howard Goss and Nora Elizabeth Goss, both precede her in death.
Marjorie grew up in Lewistown PA, lived her adult years in Baltimore MD and finally settling down in NC in 2006. Her favorite pastimes were attending church activities where she was a member of Christ Covenant Church, spending time with her family and playing games. Marjorie will be remembered mostly for her love of Jesus and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer W Kempton, her son Jay Kempton and her grandson Christopher Leonard
Surviving are her children; Craig Kempton wife Patricia of Naperville IL, Susan Leonard husband Dale of Grasonville MD, Ann Logan husband Todd of Matthews NC. Grandchildren; Jennifer Kempton of Chicago IL, (Christopher) Aubrey of Raleigh NC, Lindsey Leonard of Philadelphia PA, Jessica Kempton of Chicago IL, Nora (Logan) Bross husband Alec Charlotte NC, Caitlyn Logan of Matthews NC, Jake Leonard of Grasonville MD. Great Grandchildren; Reefe Leonard of Raleigh NC and Delilah Leonard of Raleigh NC.
Services will be held Monday February 3, 2020 at 11:00 am at Christ Covenant Church with reception to follow. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 5 at Loudon Park Cemetery, 3620 Wilkens Ave, Baltimore, MD 21229.
