On Tuesday, January 5, 2021, Benjamin S. Palmer, 60, husband of Carol (Scheufele) Palmer of Towson, Maryland passed away, suddenly.
Born on May 14, 1960, in Catonsville, Maryland he was the son of the late George M. Palmer, Sr. and Carol Palmer (nee Schott). Ben graduated from Catonsville High School in 1978. He worked in various construction industries since he was a teenager and was known as a teacher, providing guidance and training to others. Most recently he was a treasured employee of the Benedictine Sisters of Baltimore for nearly 15 years. He was known to be a great conversationalist and would find “friends” among strangers.
On September 27, 1997 he married his soulmate, Carol. Ben was known for his deep love and dedication to his best friend and wife, Carol. He was greatly loved by his family, his wide expanse of friends, and his pets. He touched many with his deep appreciation of life and the kindness that he so generously shared with others. Ben was always the first person to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his wife Carol of Towson, MD; his step-mother Judy Palmer of Laurel. MD; his brothers Ron Palmer of Chesapeake, VA, and Brian Palmer and his wife Fran of Parkton. MD; his sisters-in-law Dawn Smith and her husband Brad of Ellicott City, MD and Laura Scheufele and her husband Roger of Catonsville, MD; his beloved pets Dexter, Jonesy, Bippy, Milk Belly and baby as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by his father George M Palmer Sr., his mother Carol D. Palmer (nee Schott), his brother Harold S. Palmer, and his in-laws Wayne and Bobbie Scheufele, who considered him a “son in heart.”
