William Purdy, Sr.

William A. Purdy, Sr., age 78, sadly passed away on December 30, 2022. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Joseph Purdy & the late Marjorie Duffy. William is the devoted husband of Deanna Purdy; beloved father of Richard McCombs, Helen McCombs, Tommy McCombs, William Purdy, Jr., & the late Carol Purdy; cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren; dear great-grandfather of 23 great-grandchildren; caring great-great-grandfather of 1 great-great-grandchild; loving brother of Marjorie Green, JoAnn Burr, Harry Purdy, the late Joseph Purdy, & the late Florence Lewis. William is also survived by many other loving family & friends.

Family & friends may gather at the family owned & operated Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd., Lansdowne, Maryland 21227 for a public visitation on Tuesday, January 3rd from 3:00-5:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm. A funeral ceremony will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 4th at 1:00pm. Interment will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville at a later date.
