William Grimes
December 13, 1954 — January 26, 2022
William G. Grimes, age 67, passed away suddenly on January 26, 2022. William was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Benson Grimes, Sr. & the late Hilda Grimes (nee Mills). William had a passion for music & playing the guitar. He enjoyed being retired & would spend most days golfing. William was also a leader in the AA program for 25 years & he will be greatly missed.
William is the loving brother of Joanne Zinnert (& her husband William, III), Benson Grimes, Jr., & James Grimes; beloved step-father of Michael McBride; cherished uncle of Benson Grimes III, William Zinnert IV, & Leah Zinnert. He is also survived by many other loving friends. Family & friends may gather at the family owned & operated Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd., Lansdowne, MD 21227 for a public visitation on Tuesday, February 1st from 3:00-5:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 2nd at 11:00am at the funeral home.
