Virginia Ater
February 27, 1913 — December 7, 2011
On December 7, 2011 Virginia M. Ater (nee Gruber) passed peacefully with her family by her side. Mrs. Ater was the beloved wife of the late Gideon D. Ater; the loving mother of the late Raymond Ater and his widow Kerrie Ater, and the late Richard Ater; she is the cherished grandmother of Stacey Edgar and her husband Tim; the loving aunt of Eleanor Hoban and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
A visitation for Mrs. Ater will be held Saturday December 10, 2011 at the Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church from 10:00-11:00 am. The church is located in the Charlestown Retirement Community 709 Maiden Choice Lane Catonsville, MD 21228. A mass of Christian burial will be held immediately following the visitation at 11:00 am and is also to be held in the Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church. Interment to be held in the Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens 200 East Padonia Road Timonium MD 21093 at 2:00 pm. At the family's request donations in Mrs Ater's memory may be directed to the Gilchrist Hospice 555 West Towsontown Blvd. Towson MD 21204.
