Terence Givens

Terence "Terry" Givens (Age 71) passed away peacefully on January 13, 2021. He was the loving husband of 48 years to Mary Paxton Givens; devoted father of Courtney Gotlin (Matthew), Colleen Robertson (Daniel) and Caroline Gill (Daniel); proud "Pops" of Jake, Maggie, Evie and Grace Gotlin, Liam and Charles Robertson, and Benjamin and Alexander Gill. Terry was the son of the late Robert and Jane Givens; brother of Kevin and Mary Ellen Givens and the late Robert Jr. and Christopher Givens. Born in Washington D.C., a longtime resident of Virginia and later Maryland, Terry worked in the automobile industry for 35 years. Terry showed unparalleled courage and strength during his four and a half year battle with Glioblastoma. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a fighter of all fighters, the most amazing husband, father and grandfather, and a lover of animals, the outdoors and sports. The family will be having a private interment service; a memorial service will be held a later date.
