Listen to Obituary

Tai Phan, Sr., age 59, passed away on June 14, 2026. He was the beloved husband of over 30 years to Lieu Nguyen. He was the cherished father of Tai Phan, Jr. and his wife Ali Phan, Laura Phan, Paula Phan, and Therisa Phan; devoted grandfather of Adalyn Phan; and is also survived by many siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Born in Da Nang, Vietnam, Tai courageously immigrated to California on his own as a young man in search of a better future. Through hard work, determination, and sacrifice, he built a life centered around the people he loved most—his family.

Tai was known for his larger-than-life personality. He was often the loudest person in the room, quick with a joke, and always able to make others laugh. Whether gathered with family, celebrating with friends, or meeting someone for the first time, he had a way of making everyone feel welcome. His warmth, humor, and infectious spirit made him truly unforgettable.

In his free time, Tai enjoyed fishing, tending to his garden, and watching football. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures and especially loved sharing those moments with family and friends.

Though he will be deeply missed, Tai’s legacy of love, laughter, resilience, and devotion to family will live on for generations to come. He will be forever loved and never forgotten.
