Roger Twigg, Sr.

Louis Roger Twigg, Sr. 84, of Linthicum Heights, MD, passed away peacefully on July 2nd, 2026 at his residence. Roger was born on March 23rd, 1942 in Maryland, to Hallie Odell Phares and Louis Edward Twigg.

He was married to Betty Jane (Hayes) Twigg and together they shared 46 wonderful years.

Roger enjoyed being an avid coffee drinker. Often it was his beverage of choice throughout the day. Roger enjoyed running and spending time at the Ocean. He loved being close to family. You could often find him watching the Ravens and Orioles play. He was a member of the Ravens Roost #25. Throughout the years he belonged to various groups including the Mustangs, Colt Corral, Blue Deer Sportsman's club, and the Marine Corps League.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane "Janie", children Louis Roger Twigg Jr. (Karen), Lawrence Ross Twigg Sr. (Amy), Andrew Laten Twigg (Megan), Mandy Nicole Twigg, and Brian Miller. His 18 Grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren will miss him greatly. He is survived by his sister Pamela Lewis.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Edward Twigg and Hallie Odell Phares (Ross Grandville Lewis), his daughter Tonia Yvonne Swick, his grandsons, Mitchell Swick and Jayden Dixon, his brother, Willie Lewis, and his first wife Dorothy Yvonne Smith.
