Robert Mcmichael

Robert Gerard McMichael, known as “PopMac” and “Uncle Bob,” passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. He was born January 5, 1927 to Grover W. McMichael and Gertrude Bagot McMichael in Steubenville, Ohio. He joined the U.S. Army Air Force in 1945, and graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1952. His parents, his brother William, and his sister Eileen predeceased him.

He is survived by his loving partner, Anne Gupman; his children Larry (Trish), Kevin (Kitty), and Celeste (Eric); eight grandchildren Lauren (Logan), Beth (Howard), Collin, Meg, David (Evan), Anne (Mike), John (Claire), and Christy; three great-grandchildren Evie, Jacob, and Sophie; and several nieces and nephews and their children.

A funeral mass in Catonsville, Maryland will be held at a later date.
