On October 2nd, 2025, Robert Eugene Hooe, Sr. Passed away in the 78th year of his age. Born on August 3rd 1947 to the late Elizabeth ( nee Drayer of Catonsville) and the late Howson Hooe (of Nokesville, Virginia) This good, dependable and hardworking man, true to his faith and devoted to imparting wisdom and knowledge to his children, died as he lived, loved by all who knew him. He was a caring husband to Ann O’Neill; devoted father of Joseph Hooe and wife Marianne, Gerard Hooe, Mary Alice Zawodny and husband Gary; cherished grandfather of Mikael Hooe, Maria Hooe, Robert Hooe, Christian Parsons, Sarah Dennis, Meg Parsons, Nikolas Zawodny, Zachary Zawodny; loving great grandfather of Glen Dennis, Sarah Dennis, Ann Dennis, Suzanna Dennis, Joseph Dennis, Leo Campbell, Cian Fox, Donn Fox; and dear brother of Jean Marie Hooe. Robert was preceded in death by his son, Robert Eugene Hooe, Jr., his siblings, Mary Hooe, Betty Hooe, James Hooe, John Hooe, and Daniel Hooe. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends. Thus passes from this world a breathless church choir voice, member of one of our oldest small business families and beloved citizen. Throughout his life he offered his skills to aid others and dedicated himself to quality craftsmanship. He will be loved and missed. Let us pray for his soul and ask God to ease our sorrow in the hope we may go to him.
A public viewing will be held at our Arbutus location on Thursday, October 9th from 3 PM to 5 PM and from 7 PM to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6405 S Orchard Rd., Linthicum Heights on Friday, October 10th at 10 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Loudon Park Cemetery.
