Renee Rosemary Engel

It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Renee Rosemary Engel, 65, on (Date), at Copper Ridge Nursing & Assisted Living Center, due to complications from ALS.

Renee was born in Chicago, IL on May 29, 1960, to the late Donald F. Engel and the late Marcella S. (Perseghin) Engel. Seven years later, the family moved to Maryland, eventually settling in Arbutus. Renee graduated from Lansdowne Sr. High and went on to obtain her Daycare Certification from Catonsville Community College (now CCBC) and after working for a daycare provider for a period of time, she opened and ran a daycare out of her home. Renee enjoyed gardening, camping, climbing, hiking and participating in Civil War reenactments. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Renee is survived by her former husband Ed Bollack, their children Kasey Bollack, Lindsay (Bollack) Moran and her husband Mike, and Mark Bollack; her grandchildren Hannah, Kyra, and Alyssa Farley, Logan and Anya Moran, and Dakota Bollack; her sister Cheryl (Engel) Turner and her husband Frank and her brother Donald F. Engel, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth (B.J.). Renee is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Renee’s life will take place at Ambrose Funeral Home in Arbutus, Maryland, followed by cremation; the address, date, and times are provided below. Family and friends are invited to come and share stories of their time with Renee.
