Phil Carnochan

Phillip N. “Phil” Carnochan, of Millersville, MD passed away peacefully at his home at the age 84, on Thursday February 2nd, 2023.  He was born in Hagerstown, Maryland to the late Russell L. Carnochan & the late Mildred Austin Carnochan. Phil has two brothers Michael Carnochan and John Carnochan.  After graduating from McConnellsburg High School in PA in 1956 he enlisted in the Navy and served as a second class seaman, until 1959. He was released from active duty and transferred to the Navy reserves until 1962 and then was honorably discharged.  He then briefly worked at Westinghouse, in Baltimore.  He then began a lifelong career with the Xerox Corporation, which he retired from in 1994.

Phil loved his family, home, gardening and he was most passionate about the game of Golf, on any given Saturday or Sunday he would be teeing off at a golf course.  He enjoyed working on golf clubs as well in his workshop.

He is survived by his beloved wife Lynda J. Carnochan; he was a loving father of Daphne L. Wagner( Joe), Wendy C. Nabb,(David) & Phillip Carnochan, Jr.(Jacque); he was a cherished grandfather of Carlie Jo Wagner, Ethan J. Wagner, Maggie Jo Holecheck, Landon Carnochan, Sawyer Carnochan, & Zeke Carnochan; and a dear great grandfather of Colby J. Sikes; and a caring brother of Michael Carnochan. Phil is also survived by many other loving family & friends.
