Merson, Nancy L (Lynch), age 71, formerly of Elkridge, MD passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 after a brief illness at Howard County General Hospital.
Nancy was born October 23, 1950 to Merle and Waneda Lynch (Landon) in Baltimore, MD and was the middle daughter of three. She was raised in Howard County and graduated from Howard High School in 1968. She worked at the National Security Agency (NSA) until she had her children and devoted her life to supporting them. She went back to work and wore many hats, most recently her beloved profession as a Pharmacy Technician. She was extremely proud of her work as a Pharmacy Tech and truly loved helping people.
Nancy was a lifelong member of Job's Daughters and Eastern Star. She was an avid sports fan (Ravens Football and anything her family played or were involved in). She loved to travel, spend time with friends and family, dote on her pets but her favorite pastime was spending time with the love of her life, her best friend, her only grandchild Shaelyn Berger.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Amy Berger, son Todd Merson, granddaughter Shaelyn Berger, Niece Debbie Chenoweth (Scott), Nephew Kevin Miles (Colleen), cousins A. Wyand Johnson and Robin Johnson, four (4) great nieces and nephews as well as five (5) great great nieces and nephews, her best friends and many many “adopted” children who called her Mom. She was preceded in death by her parents (Merle - 5/12/2004, Waneda 8/17/1990) and her sisters Sharon Miles (4/15/1987) and Judith Reitterera (7/9/2013).
A Celebration of Life will be held, May 1st, 2022 1—5 pm. Centennial Lake Park, Pavilion H, 4800 Woodland Road, Ellicott City, MD 21042. Beverages and light hors d’oeuvres will be served. Please wear Ravens gear or colors.
