Lisa Ann Garvey (née Williams), of Frankford, DE, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 64 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Lisa was born in 1962, to Edward Sr. (deceased) and Anna Williams in Baltimore, MD. She was a sibling to Edward Williams Jr., Michael Williams (deceased), and Michelle Weaver (née Williams).

Lisa graduated high school in 1980. After graduating, Lisa went on to have a successful career in banking, working at multiple financial institutions. She loved to work and was a source of great knowledge to her co-workers.

In 1986, Lisa met Kevin Garvey, and on October 11th, 1987, they married. In August of 1992, they welcomed their first child, Julianna Rose. In December of 1995, they welcomed their second child, Jenna Ann-Marie.

Lisa was a fiercely dedicated mother, a title that she put above all else, just like she did for her two daughters. She made it her mission to improve and nurture their lives, even if it meant making sacrifices of her own. That mission extended to all those around her, whether that be her friends, co-workers, or acquaintances. Anyone who knew Lisa knew that they could count on her. She was fearlessly devoted to showing kindness and patience to others, even her dogs (Jax and Hans) at home, which she lovingly called “my boys”.

Lisa’s commitment to her family was unmatched. She not only was a passionate wife, mother, and sister, but she also loved being an aunt and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Kevin, and her two daughters, Julianna and Jenna. We will miss her immensely.

Family and friends may gather at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Halethorpe, MD 21227 for a Memorial Gathering on Sunday, June 7 from 10:00am-12:00pm. A Memorial Service will begin at 12:00pm.
