Kristen S. Rieth

Kristen Rieth, of Stewartstown, PA, died July 17, 2024 after battling serious illness for over eight years. 

Kris was born on April 26, 1960, to Barton and Rosemary Stolte in Baltimore, MD. She and her beloved sister, Kelley Wood, grew up in Catonsville, MD. She attended Archbishop Keough High School before graduating from UMBC.

Kris was a computer programmer at USF&G when she met her loving husband, Dave. They were married in 1990.

Besides her sister, Kris is survived by husband Dave, their sons, Kevin and Gregory, step children Dan (Jillian) Rieth and Olivia Rosewood and grandchildren Ava, Grace and Danny.

Kris took full advantage of life. She was an avid gardener and animal lover, finding joy in simple things like taking care of her beautiful lawn or going for walks around the neighborhood. She was a Cub Scout den mother and the York Catholic High School Marching Band fundraising chairwoman. When not on the move, she was most often found with a cat in her lap. She was at her happiest on the beach.

Kris will be honored at a future date with a scattering of ashes ceremony on the beach.
