Kimberly “Momma Kim” Stanton, age 51, loving mother of five, and adoring wife to husband Curtis Stanton Sr., passed away unexpectedly on October 13th, 2025. Born in Baltimore, MD on September 9th, 1974, to parents Daniel and Deborah Brown. She grew up surrounded by her large family. While only having one sibling, Susan Brown, she had a lot of aunts, uncles and cousins. Kim was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her self to others, and she incorporated that into her motherhood. She started dating her husband Curtis in early summer days of 1992. The two haven’t skipped a beat and have been together ever since.
She devoted her life to her husband, children and her grand children.
Momma Kim was the heart of our home and family. She raised five children of her own while taking in a few “in laws” along the way who became hers as well, Amy Mitchell, Brittany and Jordan Jenkins, Megan and Alex Reyes, Bradley and Amber Stanton, and Karlee Stanton. In a happy and loving home to be independent and thoughtful adults.
As a grandmother to Destiny(16), Brysen(12), Nylah(11), Maddox(7), Luka(3) and Ebbie(3 wks), she was the “fun mommom”, taking the kids on fun vacations, making every holiday memorable, showing up to all of their school events, along with rarely missing a sporting event and generally spoiling them all rotten.
Kim was known for her kind heart, giving nature and over the top and frequent gatherings. She was the heart, soul and original smart mouth of our family, and she will be dearly missed. Beyond being a mother and grandmother, Momma Kim was just that to her children’s friends, their kids and anyone who made their way into her home.
We know that we can’t have you but we’re satisfied knowing that your angels have finally got you back. See ya later to a wonderful woman and a beautiful mother.
