Judith Hughes

Judith C. Hughes, age 55, sadly passed away on September 24, 2022. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Betty Hughes & the late Michael Hughes, Sr. Judy is the devoted wife of the late Jose Martin Mejia; loving mother of Angelica Mejia (Ste), Corina Mejia (Rene Ramirez), & Samantha Mejia (Dejan Macakanja); cherished grandmother of Isabel Mejia, Mia Diaz, Lili Pino, Riley Stevens, Lea Pino, the Grandcat Ollie, & the Granddog Nova; caring sister of Sharon Gerwig (her husband Bill), Michele Hill (her husband Shawn), & the late Michael Hughes, Jr. (his late wife Sherry). Judy is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family in Houston, & Betty’s dog Suggs.

Judy loved many things, but her daughters, granddaughters, and those DAMN CRABS is what she loved the most. She enjoyed doing scratch offs every chance she got. She was loving, caring, and full of energy. Everyone loved being around her because her laugh was contagious.

Family & friends may gather at the family owned & operated Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd., Lansdowne, MD 21227 for a public visitation on Thursday, September 29th from 3:00-5:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm. A funeral service will take place at 7:00pm.
