John Roth, Sr.

John G. Roth, Sr., age 93, sadly passed away on July 1st, 2022. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Stanley L. Roth, Sr. & the late Valetta M. Roth (nee Galloway). John was a longtime resident of Halethorpe & the Charlestown Community. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Howard #101 & the Arbutus Social Club. John is the devoted husband of Eleanor “Lucille” Roth; loving father of Janet L. Goetz, Dr. John G. Roth, Jr. (& his wife Susan H. Roth), & Susan L. Grimes; cherished grandfather of Dr. Shannon S. Schneider, Erika L. Alvarez, Dr. Steven G. Roth, Christina M. Kane, Laura S. Roth, Kyle B. Grimes, & Ryan T. Grimes. John is also survived by 11 Great-grandchildren.

Family & friends may gather at the family owned & operated Ambrose Funeral Home, Inc. 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Halethorpe, MD 21227 for a public visitation on Thursday, July 7th from 3:00-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 8th at 11:00am. *Masks are preferred while inside the funeral home* . Interment will immediately follow at Loudon Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s name to Arbutus United Methodist Church & Shriners Hospitals for Children.
