John Mason Letitia, 85, of Catonsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025. A devoted family man, proud Navy veteran, and generous community supporter, John leaves behind a legacy of service, strength, and kindness.

Born on July 24, 1939, John dedicated 22 years of his life to serving in the United States Navy, retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. Following his military career, he continued to exemplify hard work and integrity through two decades in sales at Lee Electric Company, retiring in September 2000.In his retirement, John embraced life fully—spending his days sailing, staying active at LA Fitness, engaging in day trading, and volunteering in the community. He was a familiar and respected face at the local VFW, where his camaraderie and stories were always welcome.John was a man of deep compassion, supporting organizations close to his heart including Tunnel to Towers, Grassroots Crisis Intervention, the Alzheimer’s Association, and many others.

He is survived by his loving daughter Christine Lee (Letitia); his grandchildren Haley Higgins (McKinney), Tyler Lee, and Caitlyn Lee; and great-grandsons Eoin and Callum Higgins. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Bonnie Letitia.John’s steady presence, warm heart, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to one of John’s favorite organizations.
