John Gunther

John Gunther, age 71, passed away peacefully at home on August 29, 2026. He was born on August 23, 1955 to the late John and Pauline (nee Pease) Gunther. He is the beloved husband of over 46 years to Teresa Gunther; cherished father of Mandy Gunther and her husband Robin Hodson and Kelly Curtis and her husband Chris Curtis; devoted Pop Pop of Alexander Curtis who was his pride and joy; dear brother of Denise (Ron) Fowler, the late David Gunther, and Mary (Mike Lulay) Gunther; loving uncle of Joey Dimeler, Jason Dimeler, Danielle Dimeler, Katie Bennett, Erin Guy; caring nephew of Eva Ballard; also survived by many other loving relatives and a host of friends.

A viewing will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd, on Thursday September 3rd from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday September 4th at 11am. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in John’s memory to American Diabetes Association.
