Jeremy Lee Goldhammer was born on November 8, 1985, in Arbutus, Maryland, to H. Lee and Jacquelyn Goldhammer of Frankford, Delaware. From an early age, Jeremy’s sense of humor, loyalty, and deep compassion for others were evident to all who knew him.
A 2003 graduate of Mt. Hebron High School, Jeremy went on to attend Howard Community College. He swam competitively for the Wynnewood Pool swim team and was a dedicated, passionate ice hockey player, serving as a team captain while traveling up and down the East Coast to compete during his childhood and teenage years. His love of sports extended beyond the ice-he was an enthusiastic and lifelong fan of the Washington Capitals, Baltimore Ravens, and Baltimore Orioles.
Jeremy had an exceptionally big heart. He was fiercely protective of others, never tolerating unkind words or unfair judgment. His love for animals was profound; he treated every pet as a cherished member of the family. Jeremy especially adored his cat, Corbin, and his beloved dog, Rufus, who brought him comfort and joy.
An adventurous soul, Jeremy loved to travel and embraced music as a way of life. He could often be found following the sounds of live music at Grateful Dead and String Cheese Incident concerts.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his brother, Joshua Southworth; his grandparents, Tilghman and Rita Shamer, and Howard and Eileen Goldhammer; and his cousin, Lisa Shamer.
He is survived by his loving parents, Lee and Jaci Goldhammer; his siblings, Jennifer Tucker (Jeffrey) and Joel Southworth (Katie); as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of close friends who will forever carry his memory with them.
Jeremy’s kindness, loyalty, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing in honor of Jeremy on Sunday December 28, 2025 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm at Ambrose Funeral Home in Lansdowne-2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd, Lansdowne, MD 21227.
In lieu of flowers, donations to BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter) in Jeremy’s name would be greatly appreciated.
