Ernestine Willinghan

On January 9th Ernestine passed away in her sleep.  She was a beloved wife to her recently departed husband Paul for 55 years.  Ernestine missed and never stopped loving her husband.  She was a loving mother to her children Paul, Timothy and James (and his wife Kimberly).  Also survived by four grandchildren and her church family at the Catholic Community of Ascension & St. Agustine.  She also leaves behind her bird Bob and her dogs Jessie and Josie.

Ernestine loved her family, pets, grandchildren and friends.  She looked forward to every spring to do her gardening.  Ernestine was a great cook, an avid reader, did arts & crafts, loved watching her shows and supported her Baltimore sports teams.  If it was summer she was watching the Orioles and the winter she was watching the Ravens.  Ernestine volunteered her time for years to the RCIA/Becoming Catholic Program at Ascension Church and doing so gave her joy, happiness and purpose in her life.

Family and friends will miss her and we pray she is at peace and has been reunited with her husband Paul.

A public viewing will be held at the family owned Ambrose Funeral Home, Inc., 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Arbutus on Sunday, January 15th from 3 PM to 5 PM and from 7 PM to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held of Church of the Ascension, 1527 Potomac Avenue, Halethorpe on Monday, January 16th at 10 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
