Elbert Chavis

Elbert "Bert" Chavis, 72, of Catonsville, sadly left us on Tuesday, June 14th, 2022. He was a roofer for many years who loved his job and loved to fish on his days off. Bert was a caring, hard working, good spirited man who was family oriented, kind-hearted, very considerate, and cared for others.

Bert is survived by daughters, Surina Stillman, Melissa Sara Chavis; son, James Chavis; granddaughters, Carrie Burris, Brianna Chavis, and Audrey McDonald; and grandsons, Shane Chavis, Alex Stillman, Andrew Stillman, Hunter Chavis, and Jaydon McDonald.  He also leaves behind a very special friend and loved one Eva Bell and her sons James Isner and Shane Bell.

A public viewing will be held at the family owned Ambrose Funeral Home, Inc., 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Arbutus on Monday, June 20th, from 11 AM to 1 PM. The funeral service will begin at 1 PM. Interment will immediately follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
