Effie Jasek

Effie Mae Jasek, age 91, peacefully passed away on October 22nd, 2021. She was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to the late Daniel Van Sickle & the late Annis Thorpe (nee Tressler). Effie was the devoted wife of the late Walter Jasek; loving mother of Cecilia Roe, Linda Dewberry, & Walter Jasek Jr.; caring grandmother of Jeffrey Dewberry, Walter Jasek III, Matthew Cheswick, Rachel Luber, Mitchell Jasek, Jessica Jasek, Luke Cheswick, Austin Roe, & Brittany Carey; cherished sister of Hazel Frey, the late Cecil Morrison, the late Ray Van Sickle, & the late Roy Van Sickle. Effie was a resident of Catonsville and had a strong faith in God. She was a religious education teacher at St. Agnes Church in Catonsville & was very active in the senior citizen community. A private family graveside service will be held at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Effie's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
