Peacefully on January 22, 2016, Doris Dixon (nee Coleman) passed away in Charleston, S.C. Doris was the loving mother of Audrey Spates and Janet Gray; she was the cherished grandmother of William Hipple, Michelle Hipple, George Gray IV, and Laura Nacarato; the great-grandmother of William Mantz Hipple, Morgan Hipple, Charles L. Carlston, Ethan Gray, Lauren Gray, Gianna Nacarato, and Jackson Nacarato; Doris was the dear sister of Vivian McEldowney; she was the devoted aunt of Linda Quinby and Gary Barr; and a loving cousin of Vernon McGready and Charlene Beach.
Relatives and friends may call at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1328 Sulphur Spring Road, Halethorpe, MD 21227, on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, from 12-1 pm. A funeral service is to immediately follow at the same location starting at 1 pm. Interment will follow the funeral service and will be in the Lorraine Park Cemetery, 5608 Dogwood Road Baltimore, MD 21207.
