Dolores "Dee" Arrington

Dolores (Dee) Roberta Miller Svehla-Arrington of Ellicott City, MD, passed away on June 11, 2023 following emergency surgery the previous week.  Dee was the daughter of the late Martha and Irvin Miller. Born in Baltimore, MD and grew up in Overlea, MD, where she graduated from Parkville High School.  She was previously married to Thomas Svehla and a widow of Jack Arrington.

Dee is survived by her children, Robin Rollins, Renee Svehla Knutson (Brett) and Ryan Svehla; granddaughters, Nicole Harding, Rolanda Hammett and Reese Dorsey; grandson Chase Dorsey; great-grandchildren, Nayshawn, Jayden, Michael Jr., Ja’Lah-Marie, Eden and Evie-Marie; brother Calvin Miller; niece Bethany (Tom); great-nephews & niece, Caleb, Dylan and Alayna. Dee was predeceased by her loving sister Sharon Miller, who was very involved in the ARC program.

Dee worked for the B & O Railroad for several years and was later a pharmaceutical sales representative for Merck & Company.  An avid golfer and tennis player, she worked at the 40 West Racquet Club for many years and dedicated time to Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore. One of her favorite activities was spending time with fellow members of the Free State Corvette Club, Corvette cruises and chairing many events and especially Corvette Weekend in Ocean City where they have the Boardwalk Parade. Dee was also a member of the Red Hat Society and her Canasta crew.  She loved having lunch with friends, attending concerts, playing board games and will be missed by all.

The family will receive friends and family at Ambrose Funeral Home & Cremation 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd. Arbutus, MD on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 4pm to 6pm with a funeral service at 5pm.
