On November 29th, 2025, David Richard Shears, Sr. passed away. Born on December 14th, 1946 to the late Gladys and Ursal Shears, he was the loving husband of Virginia “Jenny” Shears; devoted father of the late David Shears, Jr., Heather Hipsley and husband Scott, Crystal Smith, Samuel Smith, Steven Smith and his wife Jayme; cherished grandfather of Taylor, Joey, Anieya, Lexi, Violet, Cam, and Noah; dear brother of Debbie Jenkins and her husband Bobby, the late Dubie, the late Dolly, and the late Wesley. David was preceded in death by his first wife the late Sandra Shears.

A public visitation will be held at our Lansdowne location on Sunday, December 7th from 2 PM to 4 PM and from 6 PM to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 8th at 11:45, with interment immediately following at Garrison Forest Maryland Veteran Cemetery.
