Sadly, on August 2, 2025, our mother/grandmother/great grandmother, Charlotte Emma Ziegler, passed away at the age of 91. She was our matriarch, mother, food and holiday czar, and ravenous Ravens/“Baltimore” Colts fan. She loved all things that were about cats, creativity, and intelligence. She was an artist in many mediums: food, drawing, ceramic, gardening, fashion design, Christmas decorations, sewing, etc. All of these were all her canvases. A deep lover of music and theater and the change of the seasons, especially if it snowed. She relished her role as Mrs. Claus at the B&O Train Museum. She was well spoken, well read, and basically self-educated. She rose up high as a civilian worker for Dept. of The Army medical reserve. In charge of advertising recruitment for doctors, nurses, and paramedics she took great pride in her career. No one loved irreverent laughter more than she. She is survived by her children and their spouses: David & Maryjo, Melanie & Rick, Butch & Natalie; grandchildren/partner: Jason & Kelly, Mark & Amy, Lilly & Keith, Jasmine & Stephen, Jonah, Elijah, Bonnie, Crystal; great grandkids: Bready & Julie, Ryan, Lucian, Graham, Emmy Lou, Jet, Cole, Oliver, Leilani.
Her family is everything…….
The family is holding a celebration of life sometime in late December. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Arbutus Little League Challenger baseball.
