Charles Mattis, Jr.

On May 20th, 2021, Charles W. Mattis, Jr. passed away. Born on November 7th, 1937 to the late Doris Reckline and late Charles William Mattis, Sr., he is the loving husband of the late Myrtle Issy Mattis; devoted father of the late Donald Severe, Jr., Charles Severe, and wife Beverly, Rodney Mattis and wife Crystal; caring father-in-law of Doreen Morsberger and husband David; cherished grandfather of Dan, Roxanne, Lindsay, Cara, Brittany, Kelsey, Michael, Ceara, Leland, Jacob, the late Erin and several great grandchildren.

Family and friends may call at the family owned Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd on Monday, May 24th from 5 Pm to 9 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 25th at 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Western Cemetery. Donations may be made in Charles's name to the American Cancer Society.
