Catherine Lee Dash

Catherine Lee Dash passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026 at the age of 96. She was born in Baltimore on July 8, 1930 to the late Elmer and Agnes (nee Spindler) Houck. Catherine met the love of her life Henry Dash and they married on July 30, 1950. Catherine was blessed with 58 years of marriage with the late Henry Dash. Although Catherine was raised in Arbutus, she resided in Lansdowne for 66 years before moving in with her daughter and son-in-law in Howard County. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Yoder and her husband Jon Yoder; grandchildren Christopher Yoder and his wife Maria Mesa, Corey Dash and his wife Debbie, and Shawn Dash and his wife Katrina; great grandchildren Cianna, Corey Jr., Cameron, and Henry; also survived by other loving relatives and friends. Catherine is preceded in death by her son Brian Dash. She will be deeply missed and her memory will live on in the hearts of those that knew her. We can take comfort in knowing that she is at peace and we have gained a guardian angel. The family deeply appreciates the care and kindness shown to Catherine by the staff at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Gilchrist Hospice and her loving relatives and friends. A viewing will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd on Friday from 10:30am - 11:30am. A graveside service will immediately follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
