Catherine M. Coleman

Catherine M. Coleman passed away on June 15, 2025 in Greenville, South Carolina. She was born in Washington D.C. on October 14th, 1929 to the late Mary and late Clyde Johnson; She was dear sister to the late Ralph, James and Robert Johnson; Catherine was the loving wife of the late Thomas J. Coleman; devoted mother of Michael D. Coleman, Patricia M. Coleman, Joseph T. Coleman and wife Robin Renee, John P. Coleman and wife Marilynn Beth, Paul J. Coleman and partner, Jennifer P. Brinkley, Kathleen A. Franzetta and husband Charles Francis, and Thomas J. Coleman and wife, Shelly April; cherished grandmother of grandchildren: Paul and wife Orina, Cat, Josh and wife Hannah, Katherine and husband Christian, Erin and husband Jacob, Tyler and partner Karima, Shane, Jason and Christyn, Kyle, Emily and fiancée Taylor, and Logan; cherished great-grandmother of Benjamin, Lily, Jaxon, Cian, Rory, Millie, Ivy, Jacob, Todd, Nolan, Calvin and Toby.

Catherine loved books and was an avid reader. Before marriage, Catherine was employed at the Library of Congress.

She volunteered all of her life for various organizations, including Meals on Wheels and Little Sisters of the Poor. She was very active in her parish community, helping with various causes. Catherine loved animals and also had a love of music and enjoyed the big bands.

Catherine will be privately buried at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium, MD. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
