On December 11, 2023, Carolyn Sue Mayo, Mama Sue DeVille, passed away at age 69, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the biological mother of three, however, many people considered her their surrogate mother.

Mama Sue had a big beautiful smile that affected everyone she met and even though she was small in stature she was a force to be reckoned with.

She is survived by her son Tony and his wife Casey (KC), her son Angelo and her adopted daughter Mary (Jo-Jo), her six grandchildren and great-grandson. She was predeceased by her daughter, and both ex-husbands.

A visitation will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home on Hammonds Ferry Rd on Tuesday Dec 19, 2023 from 3-5 pm and 7-9pm, she will be laid to rest on Wednesday Dec 20, 2023 at Glen Haven Memorial Park after a short service at Ambrose at 12 noon.
