Carole Gilde

Carole Ann Gilde, age 76, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022. Born to the late Irvin and Rose Berg, she lived most of her life in Maryland where she was the beloved wife of George Gilde; loving mother of George W. Gilde (Rachael), David Gilde (Taita), Michele Kitchen (Chris), Kim Gilde, Carolyn Gilde, and Jenny Gilde; cherished grandmother to Wayne Butler, Rachel Packard, Jacob Butler, Julie Gadow, Erica Everhart, Michael Née, Brendan Urban, Hailey Urban, Jaden Shilow, Brayden Gilde, Levi Gilde, June Gilde, Maisie Gilde, Zina Gilde, Micah Gilde, and Nora Gilde; beloved great grandmother to April Packard, Jaxon Butler, and Wesley Butler; and caring sister of Millie Collison and brother-in-law William A. Gilde (Kathy). Carole is also survived by many loving and special friends, including, Rod and Mary Morgan, Steve and Linda Roberson, Ron and Debbie Raffer, Ron and Shirley Simmons, and Brad and Angela Morse.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Irvin Berg (Ginger) and Charles Berg (Linda); sisters Rosemary Berg and Louise Houghton (William), brother-in-law Lee Collison; son-in-law Wayne L. Butler, Jr.; and great granddaughter Hope M. Butler.

Her family was her life. She busied herself with raising her family and keeping her home, which she graciously opened to just about anyone. She loved well and encouraged others through ministry and prayer. She was a strong, courageous, woman of God whose faith was inspiring to those she touched through her selfless acts of love.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A public viewing will be held at the family-owned Ambrose Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Lansdowne, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd, Lansdowne, MD 21227-3138 on October 23rd, from 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. A service will be held on the following day, October 24th, at Trinity Bible Church, 99 Truck House Rd, Severna Park, MD 21146, at 2pm.
