Buford Kurtz Kennedy

Buford "Ken" Kennedy, 98, was preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin Kennedy & Iva York Kennedy, his brothers, Donald Blane Kennedy, William Eugene Kennedy & his sisters, Juanita Kennedy Fern, and Dorthy Lucille Kennedy. Ken is also preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Yvonne Buxton Kennedy, and preceded by his second wife, Alverta Kennedy. He is survived by his only son, David K. Kennedy, stepdaughter, Margie Folk and stepson, Patrick Shanahan.

"Ken" Kennedy grew up in the small town of Petrolia Kansas, as a child, his mother always had a garden, and everything they ate would be from that garden. Ken moved from his quiet town in Kansas to aid our country in his service with the Navy, and then to attend the University of Maryland and graduated 1957 from the University of Maryland, he was an esteemed member of Tau Beta Pi (1956-7) and Pi Tau Sigma Engineering Fraternity (1956-7). Ken was an avid illustrator and painter and devoted himself to his work as an Engineer and architectural designer and dedicated member of the Lions Club.
