Barbara Grable

Barbara A. Grable passed peacefully from this life on the morning of Friday, October 20, 2023, at the age of 82.

Barbara was born Barbara Ann Feagle on February 3, 1941, to Wilbur Lemuel Feagle and Maude (Hines) Feagle in Gainesville, Florida.  She graduated with honors from H.B. Plant High School in Tampa.  As a young woman she moved to Baltimore where she worked at the Social Security Administration until her retirement.  She raised two daughters, Guinevere and Gelind, and one son, Gerald.  Barbara was a long standing and beloved member of the Arbutus United Methodist Church.

Barbara was a kind hearted soul with a warm and gracious spirit and was loved by all who knew her.  She was known to welcome all and any into her home in their time of need.  Many unexpected and grateful guests were invited to her dinner table and all felt warmly welcomed in her presence.

Barbara loved and was devoted to her family, friends, and pets.  Many was the fortunate puppy who came under her loving care.  She loved to garden, and was a lifelong reader.  She also was an avid world traveler.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Guinevere (and husband Tim), Gelind (and husband Duncan), and Gerald (and wife Wendi), granddaughter Christiana, extended family and loved ones Violet and her children and grandchildren, sister Mary, brother Richard, aunt, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends may gather at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Halethorpe, MD 21227 for a public visitation on Thursday, October 26 from 3:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Arbutus United Methodist Church on Friday, October 27 at 11:00am. Interment will immediately follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park. If you're wishing to make a donation, the family requests donations be made to the Arbutus United Methodist Church.
