Agnes Potter

Agnes Helen Potter (nee Doniecki), age 91, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2022. She was the youngest of 10 born on November 26, 1930 to the late Bernard and Eva Doniecki; beloved wife of 68 years to the late Franklin Potter who passed in 2017; devoted mother of Timothy and Nancy Potter, Patrick Potter and Terri Milesky, Maureen Potter and Harry Frank, and the late F. Shawn Potter who passed is 2000 (and his surviving spouse Cynthia Hentz and her husband Tim). Agnes is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and Godchildren. She was the matriarch of the Potter family who was kind, selfless, and generous soul while being a devout Catholic. She devoted countless hours to many veteran organizations and was a longtime chaplain of VFW 327 Auxiliary. She was a major benefactor of Maryland Lottery and premium box wine connoisseur. There were few things that kept her from her Friday morning hair appointments. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. Agnes leaves a legacy of extended family including many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne on Tuesday Sept 6th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at noon at St. Augustine Church in Elkridge with burial following at Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Agnes’ memory to VFW 327 Auxiliary.
